Native Elements took root in Raleigh in 1991. Owner Tom Mekus saw a need to incorporate our state's natural beauty into local landscaping practices and bring environmental restoration to our developing region.

Tom's designs incorporate proper tree spacing, plant selection and other site-specific factors to create livable spaces that please the eye. Integral to the design of each landscape is its sustainability. Having worked from the coast to the mountains, Tom knows the flora of North Carolina and chooses the best-suited specimens for each project.
